MATT KALEDA - Creative Director

Matt cut his teeth at the BBC, where he was solely responsible for music clearance/supervision for TV Drama, working on flagship programmes such as EASTENDERS, DR WHO, LIFE ON MARS and the musical BLACKPOOL. After 5 years in this position he went on to head the Sync department at NINJA TUNE/BIG DADA/J.I.M for a number of years before being approached by WARNER MUSIC to run their Creative Sync department, working with such icons as LED ZEPPELIN, PRINCE, THE SMITHS , MADONNA and NEW ORDER.

Matt has unique insight into the intricacies of broadcasters blanket agreements, especially when there are 3rd party production companies involved. SYNC INC is regularly employed by both the BBC and indie TV production companies to smooth out the complicated music clearance process.

DAVE PHILPOT - Director

Dave co-founded pioneering Bristol 'trip hop' label CUP OF TEA in 1993 - launching artists such as MR SCRUFF and MONK & CANATELLA. He then relocated to Brighton and became label manager and head of licensing at SKINT, where he helped propel FATBOY SLIM to global superstardom. He has been responsible for placing music in and negotiating deals for literally hundreds of adverts, films and computer games over the years, so has vast experience both creatively and legally.

We are pleased to formally welcome Pictures Music head honcho - Alex Clapworthy to the SYNC INC team, as Sync Manager. He is going to head up the representation side of things, an area of the company which we are revamping ever so slightly.

We're busier than Will and Kates commemorative tea towel maker at the moment.

Ad wise, we have recently nailed the new MATALAN ad with the track PLAGE by CRYSTAL FIGHTERS (see showreel opposite) and we've just done a deal for one of repped acts THE RALFE BAND, the track PARKBENCH BLUES soundtracks the new RIGHTMOVE ad (thanks to our pals at The Sync Agency)

We've been cracking on with the Music Supervision on the STREETDANCE 3D - THE JOURNEY documentary and just finishing up on Series 2 of the hit BBC Drama - LUTHER starring Idris Elba.

And best of all.. we're just about to start the Music Supervision on the new Ricky Gervais/Stephen Merchant series for HBO/BBC - LIFES TOO SHORT

Blimey..Summers been and gone.. How on earth did that happen?

We've been a tad slack on the updating front, same old story, far too much going on and our poor old website is totally neglected.

A lot has happened over the last few months, most of our time has been taken up by the Music Supervision on the forthcoming feature film - BLITZ starring Jason Statham, Paddy Considine and David Morrissey. Apparently its 'in the can' and awaiting a release date.. details to follow.

We've placed some great tunes within the film, aswell as the cracking opening titles and end credits tracks. (Unfortunately due to contractual obligations we only get a 'consultant' credit on the rollers, someone else gets the credit for all our hard work.. not that we're bitter or anything!!!)

We have also placed a number of tracks (PRIMAL SCREAM, BREAKESTRA, FABIENNE DELSOL, THEE HEADCOATEES) in the new US FX TV show TERRIERS, aswell as placing the underated lofi duo DEEKIE in a new XBOX game called SPRINGFIELD, not forgetting the brand new GOOSE track in GRAN TURISMO 5.

In addition, there have been a number of big adverts that we've worked on this summer - NIKE Footlocker, McCAINS, 4MOVE, LYNX, NOKIA, BANK OF SCOTLAND and THE SUN - BUZZ , in which we placed the track SILBANDO by OSVALDO BERLINGIERI Y SU ORQUESTRA, and hot off the press, just confirmed.. RADAR DETECTOR by DARWIN DEEZ in a new US NISSAN spot.

We also diversified somewhat by getting involved in a small music festival called LITTLE LONDON FIELDS where SYNC INC partner Matt Kaleda curated the main stage for the day long event (He also recently got married, so hes been a busy one!)

So.. all in all an extraordinarily busy summer.

Oh and theres LUTHER Series 2 coming up, so we're sure that will keep us busy.. it'll be Christmas before we know it

Its been 6 months since we started the Music Supervision job on this amazing new 6 part series, its been a rollercoaster ride, we've gone through hundreds of tracks, almost pulled off a few coups along the way..

But overall we're very proud to be involved in such an incredible piece of Television.. and we got to meet Stringer Bell himself!

The years started off nicely for all at SYNC INC HQ..we've been rushed off our size 10's.

Time has mostly been taken up by the forthcoming BBC Drama - LUTHER...been busy finding tracks for the theme tune and closing credits. We've seen a couple of episodes and its looking amazing..its going to be one helluva series. Coming to your screens in May.

We've also just placed the HERBALISER track - YOU'RE NOT ALL THAT in the US TV Trailer for new ABC show - THE DEEP END, aswell as helping out new agency POWERANIMAL finding music for their new FIVE TV Channel ident, which is looking pretty darn good!

Not to mention the searches we've done for LUCOZADE, HSBC and the BBC Winter Olympics TV Ident..
